Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Entry Level Billing Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our medical office. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are highly desirable for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Self-Pay Account: In charge of handling self-pay accounts, ensuring timely and accurate billing, and providing excellent customer service to patients regarding their payment options.
- Data Entry: Input patient information/ demographics and be in charge of overseeing that the demographics are entered correctly into electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Correspondence: Handle incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and faxes.
- Manage Mail processing: Oversee the daily receipt and processing of mail, including totaling and setting up the checks for deposit.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients and address their inquiries and concerns.
- Coordination: Assist other colleagues with the necessary handling of accounts and procedures and coordinate with the offshore team.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to manage and complete various tasks. Provide support to colleagues in handling and executing tasks efficiently.
Assist fellow team members with task management and completion.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
- Proficiency in using EHR systems and other office software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
